"I felt outraged. I felt cheated,” she told a local news outlet.
“I was very dissatisfied, very upset and then I started to think about all the people there, and then I got angry."
Ms Castillo asserts that she was robbed by the fruit machine and is now setting out a lawsuit against the Lucky Eagle Casino in Oregon.
“To me, it’s cheating, and it may even be duplicitous,” Castillo stated.
“My first thought was; how many individuals has this happened to? They think they won, then going away unsuccessful.”
The Washington State Gambling Commission controls some casino games on tribal lands but not at the site in question the Oregonian newspaper conveyed. A spokesperson for The Washington State Gambling Commission told local paper that an agent allocated to the casino said the game had acted strangely before "spinning backwards."
Casino representative Joseph Dupuis says the limit that Ms Castillo could possibly have won would have been $6,000, which is around £4,000. He also added: "The win claimed by Ms. Castillo is not legally or practically possible on the machine."
